It’s The Season

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Luke 2:13‭-‬14

It’s Christmas, it’s the festive season. Through this time and up till January 7th (Eastern Christmas) many Egyptians celebrate Christmas. January 7th is actually a national holiday. Many public celebrations take place in the Opera house, hotels, cultural centers and naturally churches. Some non-Christian families have Christmas trees at their homes as well. It’s mostly out of tradition and imitating the western culture.

Father we pray that the Real reason for this special season would be glorified. Holy Spirit draw many to the Christmas celebrations. Father send your angels to the Egyptians like You sent them to the shepherds. Father we pray that Jesus would be birthed in the hearts of many Egyptians and they would find true peace and joy

May The Land of Egypt cry out Glory to God, Amen!

Holy Spirit fall upon the Algerian people in a powerful way revealing to them the wonderful eternity you desire for all and may this that lead them into Your kingdom. “However, as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him’ but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God” 1 Corinthians 2:10-11.

Advent Week 3: Know His Worth
"On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh." Matthew 2:11

The love of money and the cycles of sin that it causes is a deep-seated stronghold in Mauritanian society.

Pray that

  • Like the Magi, the Lord will open the eyes of Mauritanians to see and know the worth of Christ
  • Treasures will be offered to the King of Kings
  • The values of the kingdom of God will begin to impact the Mauritanian economy

Advent Week 3: Running Ahead
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3

Shower prayers over the church in Morocco as brothers and sisters march ahead towards a season of accelerated Kingdom growth.

Pray for:

  • A swift and resolute throwing off of sin and “everything that hinders.”
  • Unity in our hunger and desire for holiness and Oneness with God
  • Strength, courage and perseverance as we run ahead to break new ground for the kingdom
  • The Holy Spirit to help us in steadfast and wholehearted adoration of Jesus
  • Deep encouragement to flow between brothers and sisters and from the Holy Spirit to each heart
