Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 Lord Jesus we ask today that You fill the believers with love for one another. This way the world will see You in their lives, even though words are not spoken. Lord Jesus we pray this love, which replicates Your love, will bear fruit of new believers.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 The command has been given by the risen Lord and the call is clear: prepare for spiritual battle! Jesus has given to every generation the ability, the strength, the manpower, and the opportunity to do it. Lord, give boldness to advance against our enemy everywhere—even in Algeria.
We declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 Thank You, Lord, for the way You bring good from the evil tactics of the enemy of our soul. Give strength to the Algerian believers to stand strong against Satans attack on the life and name of Jesus in them.
Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison… Hebrews 13:3a Lord, meet the needs today of Algerian believers in prison for their faith in You. Help them to glorify You in their situation. Grant strength to their family member as they wait patiently for release.
See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Hebrews 12:15 Lord, help new believers around the world to recognize Satan’s deceitful tactics and the bitter root that will keep them in bondage. We pray against this root and ask in the mighty name of Jesus it not be allowed to manifest.
Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?… No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:7-11 Focusing more on Jesus, make us keenly aware of how your children should live. As the Algerian people endure hardships, give them insight to see discipline and hardships will produce a harvest of righteousness and peace.
…fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:2-3 Lord Jesus we ask today that you help your children in Algeria keep their focus on You, enabling them to forgive those who mistreat them. Give them love for fellow citizens and by so doing bring honor and glory to you.
“It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Lord Jesus, thank you for the promise of your return. We ask for your power of your Holy Spirit to come upon the Your people of Algeria that they may bold witnesses to every Algerian seeker.
Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” John 20:17 Lord Jesus our praises rise to you in thanks that long ago You told us that you would ascend into heaven to the Father – our Father. Today we bring our prayers before You knowing that you hear and answer. There are so many Algerians seeking abundant life – Lord may they see you at the right hand of the Father interceding for them.
They cried out to the Lord and said, ‘We have sinned; we have forsaken the Lord….. But now deliver us from the hands of our enemies, and we will serve you. Then the Lord…. delivered you from the hands of your enemies all around you, so that you lived in safety. 1 Samuel 12:10-12 Almighty God, we stand in the gap for the people of Algeria and declare we have sinned and forsaken the Lord. We pray for Your deliverance from the enemy hands the Algerian people face, both the physical enemy and Satan the enemy of God. We pray for your divine intervention for this land.
