Pray for Algeria: Thursday, September 14

“How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the Living God” Psalms 84:1-2

Almighty Father, may the Algerian people experience Your presence today.

Pray for Algeria: Thursday, September 7

“You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you make the Most High your dwelling- even the Lord , who is my refuge-then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. ‘Because he loves me,’ says the Lord, ‘I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name.
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.'”
Psalm 91:8-16

Heavenly Father, thank You for being a refuge and fortress even to the peoples of Algeria!; a God in whom they can trust. Thank You for walking with them, promising that when they put their trust in You, You will protect, even when facing terrors at night or arrows during the day, Lord, help the Algerian people not to worry about tomorrow. Instead, we pray they trust in You alone In Jesus’ name, Amen

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.” Psalm 91:1-7

Thank You for walking with them, promising that when they put their trust in You, You will protect, even when facing terrors at night or arrows during the day, Lord, help the Algerian people not to worry about tomorrow… Instead, we pray they trust in You alone In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.
Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendour and majesty are before Him; strength and glory are in His sanctuary. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come into His courts. Worship the Lord in the splendour of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth. Say among the nations, ‘The Lord reigns'” Psalms 96:2-10a

Father, thank You for giving us your promises! Speak to the people of Algeria so they may see You and proclaim Your salvation. We sing your praises, lifting up Your Holy name saying ‘the Lord reigns’ and You alone are worthy of glory and strength.

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. Isaiah 10:1-2

Lord Jesus we remember the oppressive situation the peoples of Algeria live in and pray that righteousness will prevail. Cause those who bring about the oppression to be removed and replace them with peoples who have a heart for You and can rule with justice.

Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses. Acts 13:39

Holy God we are ever so thankful that we can be justified though the sacrifice of Your Son – open the hearts and minds of the peoples of Algeria that they too will receive the justification from the law.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 1 John 4:14 We testify with the Saints of old that Jesus is the Saviour of the world.  We pray that the people of Algeria will recognise this and accept the gift of salvation that is offered to all.

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4

Lord God, we thank you for Scriptures yet we recognise that many people do not have access to your Word. We pray that Your Word will be available to the people who have a desire to hear and learn of You. May the Algerian people have the encouragement and hope that they will find in the written and spoken word of God.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5

Father God we thank you that your desire is that ALL men be saved and that you have made a way for the salvation of every human soul. We pray that the eyes and hearts of the peoples of Algeria would recognize the Way to your Kingdom.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14

Heavenly Father thank You for Your grace. Today we ask that this sin of false religion that reigns over Algeria be broken and not have dominion over these people. Open their eyes to see the grace and forgiveness of the cross and believe in You and the Father who sent You for their redemption. In the precious name of Your Son Jesus we pray.
