I sought the Lord and he answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 Lord Jesus today we praise you that You hear, and answer, our prayers. Standing in the gap with the Christians in Algeria, we pray against a spirit of fear. Fill them with Your Spirit of power, and love and a sound mind.
Trust in the Lord and do good. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Him, trust in Him and He will bring it to pass. Lord Jesus we thank you that you have given us your promises. Change the hearts of the people in Algeria that they may delight in You alone allowing You to give them their hearts desires.
‘The heavens declare the glory of God. The law of the Lord is perfect bringing salvation; the testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple; the statues of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandments of the Lord are pure enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean enduring forever; More to be desired are they than gold and in keeping of them, there is great reward’. Lord Jesus we want to give praise that all heaven declares your greatness. We pray that each Algerian person will see your works, follow your commands and desire you above all else.
The Lord says “Seek Me and live; Seek good and not evil, that you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you” Lord Jesus we thank you that You call us to seek You. Today we pray that every Algerian person seeking You will find You and live. Be their strength through life here on earth.
The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? Lord Jesus today we pray that many Algerians not fear man, and turn to you to find eternal salvation and strength for every hardship and trial they face.
Lord Jesus today we pray with David the Psalmist specifically for the Algerian people, ‘create in us a pure heart and renew your steadfast Spirit within us. Don’t take your Spirit from us, or cast us away from Your presence. Restore to us the joy of our salvation’. We ask today that the peoples of Algeria would turn their hearts to you, that you are able to know the true joy of your marvellous gift of salvation.
Lord Jesus we cry out with the displaced and refugee people in Algeria whose lives are so difficult
“O Lord, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before You. May my prayer come before You; turn Your ear to my cry. For my soul is full of trouble and my life draws near the grave” Psalms 88:1-3. May they find salvation in You alone.
Holy Spirit fall upon the Algerian people in a powerful way revealing to them the wonderful eternity you desire for all and may this that lead them into Your kingdom.
“However, as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him’ but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God” 1 Corinthians 2:10-11.
Pray with us that Algerians with
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him” Psalm 34:8
As the Algerian refugees long for their homeland, may they too seek the Lord God and say with the psalmist
God, you are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water Psalms 63:1
