Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6 Our Father, today we pray for those who long for your Word just as one longs for food and drink. Be with the believers in Algeria who struggle to have their spiritual hunger satisfied. May You provide marvelous works to glorify You name.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5 Lord we pray for a spirit of meekness to be over Algeria. We praise you for your indwelling Holy Spirit and ask that every believer feel the blessing of Your indwelling Holy Spirit which gives them power under control even through difficult circumstances.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4 Lord Jesus today we pray for the sorrow in hearts of the Algerian believers. They sorrow for many reasons – their own sins and unworthiness; the pain and sorrow of physical loss of loved ones, homes, friendship and many other situations. We pray in the name of our Father and Your Son, that Your Spirit bring them real comfort and joy.
Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 Lord Jesus we are helpless and inadequate and must put our complete trust in You. Then we are able to humbly accept the will of the Father and become citizens of heaven. Our prayer is for Your Spirit to bring this revelation to the Algerian people. As they face poverty in the physical sense may they know the Kingdom of heaven is being prepared for them.
Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalms 32:7 In the mighty name of Jesus our Saviour we ask that YOU protect your faithful ones in Algeria. Though harm surrounds them, You alone are able to protect each one and fill them with songs of praises. May these praises rise in worship to you day and night.
But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalms 5:11 Lord we pray for protection of the families of Algeria who are living for you – grant them safety in the midst of trial, persecution and other hardships they face. May they be like a three-strand cord that is not easily broken.
Be strong with the strength Christ Jesus gives you. For you must teach others the things you have heard me speak of. Teach these great truths to trustworthy men who will in turn pass them on to others. 2 Timothy 2:1-2 Lord Jesus we ask that you place trustworthy people directly in situations where your truths can be shared, and passed on to others. We ask that you open the eyes of their hearts to receive the truth and in turn share it with others.
Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 Lord Jesus we ask today that You fill the believers with love for one another. This way the world will see You in their lives, even though words are not spoken. Lord Jesus we pray this love, which replicates Your love, will bear fruit of new believers.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 The command has been given by the risen Lord and the call is clear: prepare for spiritual battle! Jesus has given to every generation the ability, the strength, the manpower, and the opportunity to do it. Lord, give boldness to advance against our enemy everywhere—even in Algeria.
We declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 Thank You, Lord, for the way You bring good from the evil tactics of the enemy of our soul. Give strength to the Algerian believers to stand strong against Satans attack on the life and name of Jesus in them.
