And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” Joel 2:28
Father God we thank you for your promises, and ask that you pour out your Spirit on the peoples of Algeria, in this month of Ramadan. Fill their spiritual longings with your Holy Spirit! Reveal yourself to them in dreams and visions.
For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10
Father God we ask for a Spirit of contentment in the midst of much hardship, insults and persecution for each of your children in Algeria.
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! 1 Chronicles 16:34
Lord Jesus may you keep a covering of love over the believers in Algeria as they face difficulties repeatedly and relentlessly. May the spirit of thankfulness be ever present in the depths of their hearts.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Psalm 25:5
Lord God we pray for truth to reign in Algeria, through the difficulties the country, and especially the believers, face on a daily basis.
“For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” John 1:17
We pray Algerians will recognize your Son Jesus and the grace he brings to all people. Open the eyes of their hearts to see and understand what this means to them individually, and as a country.
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9
Father God, You see promised to keep your covenant to those who love you to a thousand generations. You are forever faithful so give your children in Algeria the confidence of your everlasting and unfailing love.
“In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good”. Psalms 25:1-7
Holy God we pray for the protection from the spirit of discouragement that peoples of Algeria will not allow the ‘enemies’ triumph over them. May they know you have won the victory and this victory is theirs In Christ Jesus alone.
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
Lord God we pray for all the peoples of Algeria who have not heard of the Lord who is everlasting, that they may know him and the power of his resurrection.
“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace”. Colossians 1:3-6
Father god we thank you for those who are bearing fruit while standing firm in the face of so much opposition in Algeria. We pray for Your continued protection over them each and every day! Grant wisdom in the every circumstance to boldly proclaim the hope they have in You.
“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it”
Father God , You see the unrest in Algeria – the protests and corruption. It appears as if the corrupt are the ones flourishing. Give your people confidence that as they follow you, Your Word living out in their lives will accomplish the purpose for which it was sent resulting in an increase of lives committed to serving You.
