He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord , And all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever and ever.
Psalms 145:19‭-‬21 NKJV
Father fulfill the desire of those who fear You. Come reign over the nation of Egypt. Come show the Egyptians who is the One & only true God. Come show their only way to true peace, rest and fulfillment.
Father we desire that all flesh in Egypt would bless Your holy Name Forever and ever. Let worship arise from Egypt like never before. Amen

Spirit of fear

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."II Timothy 1:7

Last week church leaders in Egypt issued statements to all churches to stop any trips or youth conferences for security reasons all through July and August. The statement was based on a request by the government and armed forces. They’re concerned that there are planned terrorist attacks targeting Christians. More details here.

Please pray for protection and wisdom for leaders. But we also need to pray against the spirit of fear that the enemy is throwing against the Body of Christ in Egypt. Many are concerned that the ban would be extended to curb church meetings as well.

Father we put our trust in You and in Your living truth “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17 NKJV

Pour out Your Spirit

“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My  menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. Joel 2:28‭-‬29

Father we pray over the people of Egypt. We cry out for this nation that You call “My People” in Isaiah 19. Father spirits of darkness are at work in Egypt. Father have mercy on Your people and wash her clean. Father pour out Your spirit on the Son’s Bride in Egypt. One united Bride in deep love with her Bridegroom. Poor out Your Spirit on all the people of Egypt that the bonds of the enemy would break and all Egyptians would know and completely put their faith in You and You alone. Amen!

Economy & Poverty

Last week the Egyptian government decided to increase the prices of fuel and electricity tariffs by around 40%. More details here.

This immediately means an increase in almost everything else. These increases in addition to the currency devaluation November last year and increased inflation rate are putting enormous pressures on most of the Egyptians. Noting that 27.8% of Egyptians live below national poverty line

Please pray for

  • Wisdom for the national leaders to put in place programs to help the poor and improve the economy
  • Supernatural provisions for the many needs pressuring the Egyptian people
  • Supernatural business ideas for the Egyptian youth to improve the economy
  • God to turn these rough times to a blessing as people cry out to HIM for rescue and HE answers
  • The church to continue helping those in need
  • Grace for the church to stand in the gap on behalf of the nation and believe in God’s promises over the nation of Egypt, even though the church is under the same financial pressures
  • End of corruption
Grace upon grace for Egypt as she steps into her eternal destiny of blessing the nations!

Pray for Egypt: Saturday, June 24

Corruption is one of Egypt's biggest problems. Egypt's Corruption Perception Index is 34/100 (0 is the most corrupt). More details here.

Corruption is not only deep in the public sector but also in many other areas of the society. Almost every area of the society is proliferated with corruption. It takes on many forms starting from lack of integrity to hypocrisy to favoritism to bribery. Even religious people participate in acts of corruption.

Father we pray for Your Spirit to fill Egypt and transform it into a nation of integrity. Holy Spirit convict Egyptians for the acts of corruption they do especially for the ones they consider normal acceptable behavior. Father give supernatural wisdom, courage and understanding to the officials as they fight corruption. Speak to Your people as well that

"A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back To pervert the ways of justice." Proverbs 17:23

Father wash this nation clean with precious blood of the Son in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!

Come to the Light

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.John 3:19‭-‬20

Father we call on the land of Egypt Your people to come to the Light of the World. Out of corruption, out of religious hypocrisy, out of dealing with evil spirits and out of darkness. Glory to God.

A Nation of Youth

An estimated 75% of Egyptians are under the age of 25 with just 3% over the age of 65, making it one of the most youthful populations in the world. See wikipedia.

Although this is one of Egypt’s biggest assets yet it’s a huge challenge. To find jobs for these scores of young people, to be able to include them and communicate in ways they would relate to.

Pray for creative ways for the government, churches and families to reach and include these young people. Pray for them to believe in themselves and in their abilities. Pray for encounters with Jesus (especially this summer) that would lead them to find the real meaning of life.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. Ecclesiastes 12:13

Live From The Field

1st week of Ramadan is almost over, the month all healthy Muslim adults are required to fast food and drink from dawn to dusk. The fasting hours are almost 15 hours.

Father we pray for heavenly powerful and supernatural encounters. We pray that millions of Egyptian would deeply encounter the healing transforming love of the Father.

Holy Spirit speak to their hearts like Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman by the well. Tell them "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the jews" John 4:22

As they fast, pray and worship may they find the One true God. May they find Jesus. Dreams and visions Lord God. Amen and amen!

Another Attack

Saturday May 26th another evil terrorist attack against Christians was carried out. Sadly many of the victims were children. Around 10 masked men stopped 2 buses and opened fire leaving 28 dead and 24 injured. This was on the eve of the first day of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The Egyptian Airforce retaliated by bombing ISIS training camps in Libya, more details here

Please pray for peace and condolences for those who lost loved ones. Pray for the healing and recovery of the injured (people injured from previous attacks are still in hospitals. Pola is one of them who has been in coma since the Palm Sunday attack). Please pray for wisdom and guidance for the government officials and the church leaders as they respond and take actions. Please pray for peace and protection

But most of all please pray for the hearts of Muslims to be opened to the love of Christ. Most Egyptian Muslims condemn such attacks but some are starting to dismiss these attacks as ones driven by politics not by religious beliefs.

Holy Spirit, as Muslims start Ramadan daily fasting, please open the eyes of the Egyptians to know the love of God and put their faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ

Amen and amen!

Pray for Egypt: Saturday, May 20

Prominent Islamic cleric and former deputy minster in the Endowments Ministry Salem Abdel Galil faces a lawsuit accusing him of contempt of religion and threatening national unity after he claimed on May 11 on his TV program that Christians and Jews follow corrupt religions and are non-believers (infidels or koffar in Arabic)

He did say Muslims should treat them well but the problem is his statement opens the door for completely different treatment towards Christians and Jews.

On another side this is an open door for sharing the true Christian faith and the Biblical understanding of freedom to choose one’s own faith.

Pray for peace and protection. Pray for the proclamation of Jesus Christ as the way and the Truth. Pray for wisdom for the government officials. Pray for boldness and wisdom for the church leaders and Christians in general as they respond and share the faith.

Father glorify your Son among the Egyptian people! Amen and thank you for standing for God’s purposes in Egypt
