I Always Thought I Knew God

A worker in Egypt shares about a friend:

B and her sisters, aunts and grandmother have had many spiritual conversations with her two Christian friends. She was touched by one friend’s salvation testimony and has seen dramatic answers when the friends prayed on her behalf. She has inner turmoil in reconciling these experiences with what she has always thought she knew about God.

When Muslims encounter the real and living Jesus, they frequently have to wrestle with what they thought they knew about God and Jesus as taught to them in Islam, compared to what they are hearing and experiencing through their Christian friends. Its quite different. It raises many questions and doubts.

How can we pray?

  • Pray for B, and many like her, who are now wrestling with their questions of faith.
  • Ask God to reveal Himself in all his glory, love and compassion.
  • Ask God to reveal the truth about who He really is.
  • Pray for demonstrations of His love and care for these seekers.
  • Pray for protection around them as they can be spiritually vulnerable.
  • Ask God to bring them into His Kingdom.
