Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truths and teach me, for You are God my Saviour, and my hope is in You all day long.
May Believers in Mauritania know the paths you are calling them to walk on. We ask you to guide them in Your truths and teach them Your ways. May they be a light in the darkness. May their fragrance be sweet, drawing others to Jesus.
Hear, O my people, and I will warn you - if you would but listen to me, O Israel!
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
May Christ followers in Morocco know the voice of Jesus. May they stop and listen to His voice. May they not ignore His voice, or try to change what they hear. May they follow what He commands. Jesus, Great Shepherd, lead your followers in Morocco into all goodness, wisdom, boldness and may they be a bright light for His Kingdom. Amen.
Father, God we ask that you to make the riches of his glory known to the people of Libya.
Last week three young men were arrested by state police in Alexandria for evangelism. They just presented dates for Muslims in the streets during Eftar time and gave them some booklets about the teachings of Christ, but the enemy doesn’t like the light.
Let us pray for the church not to be afraid or intimidated and to keep bearing witness for the light in spite of the threats of arrest! Indeed we are the light of the world, so let us pray that this light may not be quenshed Isaiah 65: 1 “I made myself available to those who did not ask for me; I appeared to those who did not look for me. I said, ‘Here I am! Here I am! to a nation that did not invoke my name.”
Breaking the Fast (Eid al Fitr): The festivity to break the fast lasts for three days. People in the Muslim world will enjoy meals together, visit each other and exchange gifts.
On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare
a feast of rich food for all peoples,
a banquet of aged wine
the best of meats and the finest of wines.
On this mountain he will destroy
the shroud†that enfolds all peoples,
the sheet that covers all nations;
he will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears
from all faces;
he will remove his people’s disgrace
from all the earth.
The LORD has spoken.
We pray today at the end of Ramadan for people to rather choose the feast of rich food the Lord prepared for all people, in Jesus name!
‘The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry,“Abba, Father.”The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.’ —Romans 15:15-16
Lord Jesus, we pray against a spirit of fear in Tunisia. May each and everybody find Father with whom they can be safe, experience love and acceptance as sons and daughters of the Most High God.
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”
Father God, thank you for sending Jesus to give us freedom, sight, and favour. We pray that all the Muslims in North Africa will accept this indescribable gift. Soften the hearts of stone, Lord, and replace it with hearts of flesh with your commandment written on it.
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you, life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life —Deuteronomy 30:19-20
As intercessors we pray for the people of North Africa to choose life. May all who hear your voice, regard their previous life as rubbish to gain Christ and righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
We pray for the nation of Mauritania this Ramadan, and ask the Maker of the Heavens and the Earth, Jesus, to pull down the religious strongholds of Ramadan. May this be a month where such a holy dissatisfaction fills people, that the month of Ramadan isn’t enough to please God. May the Holy Spirit show that the only way to please the Father, is to come through the Son, Jesus Christ.
We proclaim today: Jesus cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. (Colossians 2:14-15)
Thank you Lord Jesus that you died to save sinners!
