Eid el Kabir (or Eid el Adha) – the Feast of Sacrifice – will be celebrated in about 18 days. The ritual sacrifice is believed to be an important religious duty. Moroccans take great pride in their faithful observance of the Eid sacrifice.
As the nation prepare to celebrate this major holiday, let us speak God’s truth over this land and cry out for these truths to be made plain in people’s hearts and minds.
This week, we declare:
"It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." Hebrews 10:4
Let us repeat this verse as many times as you feel led, as you imagine it resounding over the mountains, valleys, highways, and coastlines of Morocco.
- May many Moroccans be confronted with the impossibility of animal sacrifice to earn us any merit in God’s eyes.
- May many encounter the certainty of salvation through Christ’s perfect sacrifice.
