Pray for Morocco: Tuesday, June 13

Spirit of Sonship

"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.'" Romans 8:15

Zahra (not her real name) is 18. She grew up in several government institutions for orphaned or abandoned girls. Now that she has reached an adult age and have been faced with the reality of having to sustain a livelihood, she has been going down a path of self-sabotage. She numbs her pain and self-hatred by hurting others first before they could potentially hurt her.

Pray for young women and men like her to encounter the Father’s love. Only the Spirit of God can heal and deliver them from an orphan spirit.

  • We pray for sons and daughters to arise from the most marginalized parts of Moroccan society.
  • We declare hope over all those who haven given up on hope.
  • We declare true freedom over all those who have settled for a counterfeit semblance of freedom.
  • May young Moroccans who feel forgotten and hopeless experience the restorative strength of God’s love in powerful ways, even this Ramadan.
